Haight Custom T-shirt Quilt #3

Custom quilt number 3 for the Haight family! Here is another stunning design for a T-Shirt quilt, this time made with Pinwheels instead of Flying Geese blocks! The school colors were chosen for the blocks to offset the colorful t-shirts in this one. We also fussy cut parts of those shirts to piece into the borders...this allowed us to utilize some of the important parts of the shirts that wouldn't fit into the quilt itself.  The finished size is 68" x 92" with Latte Shannon Cuddle for the backing. We use 80/20 blend batting on the inside of t-shirt quilt since the t-shirts have all been pre-washed and the cuddle is polyester. That way the batting doesn't shrink quite as much but is still nice and cozy with a little bit of weight to it. Baby Blue Eyes is what we used for the digital edge to edge quilt design which is a fun design we got from My Creative Stitches. Black binding in the same fabric as the border was machine stitched on and gives a nice finished look to the quilt!
